WORKSHOPS
Workshop Title |
Canine Freestyle: Something new! |
Description |
This is a 2-1/2 hour workshop specifically focused on handlers and their dogs with training in obedience and/or rally. The workshop presents a set of basic freestyle movements – some of which will be familiar, but set in a new context – as well as concepts that are foundational to canine freestyle as a competitive sport. During the “brown bag” lunch break, we’ll watch video clips of some truly excellent freestyle performances. By the end of the workshop, you and your dog will be moving to music in simple choreography, and you’ll have new inspiration for your “training toolbox.” |
Cost |
$45 per dog/handler team; $20 to audit |
Pre-requisites |
Handlers should have some familiarity with the vocabulary of rally and competitive obedience. Perfect heel position is not required of the dogs, but they must walk nicely at the handler’s side in the classroom. |
